Reiki is a hands on, non-invasive energy healing technique with roots from 2500 years ago, in many traditions and religions. This “universal life force” energy or chi or ki is in all of us. It is a form of touch therapy, used by nurses and many others. Mystics, Jesus, Buddah and many others have understood and done daily excercises to work with this healing energy for centuries. In modern day, scientists now use "SQUID" machines* to measure the biomagnetic field of the human body. The energy emitted from our hands during Reiki treatments vary in frequency, these different frequencies can be used to create different healing effects. It can be used to alleviate pain, fight dis-ease, stress, anxiety and to improve your quality of life. Words can not describe the experience, but its said to feel better than a massage, and less invasive, as you keep your clothes on and do not have to be touched if you are uncomfortable anywhere. It is believed the energy flows where it needs to. Reiki is used to balance the chakras and to open the flow of any blocked areas in your body. Often after a Reiki treatment, due to the balance and increase in energy flow, clients report detox symptoms such as frequent urination, craving nutritious food, sweating, deep, tranquil sleep and possibly other symptoms related to your body system running better. Drinking alot of water before and after the session will help this process.
